Welcome to all who enter here!

It is my sincere hope that this site will help those seeking information to help their gender journey. Within this site, I try to open my life to those seeking understanding about transgender issues and point to others who are further along the path.

The numerous transgender sites that are now on the internet have many variations, but one aspect is fairly common. Vanity can be a problem with those of us who are male to female! One joke in the transgender community is that we are never far from a camera or a mirror! Personal pictures are provided here for two basic reasons:

First, we are not abstractions; we are real people. Narratives and stories may resonate, but pictures give a fuller measure of a reality that words cannot. My pictures are not for prurient purpose. They reflect the range of my life’s activities such as being at my workplace, or at play, on vacation, or in  a wedding. I am still pinching myself that I have been able to do so much and have begun building such wonderful memories. Therefore, my pictures will be rather limited to allow more space for text.

Second, and more personally, I wanted to give a face to my name, both for humanizing the discussion and for my dear friends on the web scattered around the world who may have asked what I look like!

Being transgender is a process of discovery. It is a most complex one, with the dual pressures of family and society usually making it more so. My primary goal is to help others seeking truth and the grace of God in their gender differences . There is amazing power available from the Creator to transform the inner life to one of abundant living. One component of my personal story has some insights on the way that Christian faith may be lived as a transgendered person.

My attempt to describe this process of transition and change as a transwoman is in my writings called, “Out of the Box”, first published in the web-based Grace and Lace Newsletter. These articles are very subjective, frankly autobiographical, but reveal much that I have found to be common experiences for the male to female transgender person.

This is not an easy task, nor an easy subject. Some links have been provided to other helpful sites as I have found them. None are intended to point to or link to sites containing what I would describe as voyeuristic or explicit material. Many have helped me enormously. Some are for services in the Washington, DC area where I live, while others are information rich sources.

On a very personal note, if you are visiting here in search for answers, you know only too well that gender issues are complex and difficult to navigate. We can lose sight of the deeper truths that bring satisfaction to our souls...being loved and accepted for who we are. We may not be fully aware without opening our hearts with candor and thirst for the truth, that what we need is a Person, not a religion; that we long for a rescue from the isolation in our souls; that we need to recognize both our frailties and strengths with honesty; that our innermost being yearns to be filled with mercy, understanding and love. As you consider my story, I do recommend that you examine carefully the person of Jesus, the revolutionary life-transformer, the One who created and shaped each of us as precious and unique individuals. All of us have deep spiritual needs that may only be authentically filled by the wellspring of all life.

Luckily this is not difficult."
